Treasurer- The City of Victor, Idaho, a bedroom community near Jackson Hole, Wyoming, is seeking an experienced, self-motivated, team-oriented professional with an ability to take initiative to work in a rapidly expanding town located in the heart of the Teton Mountain Range.  The position will play a leadership role in providing financial control and oversight in all aspects of the organization.

Victor Placemakers Group Formed

The Victor Placemakers group formed in November 2016 to help make Victor’s Main Street a more vibrant and attractive place for visitors and residents to gather, shop and spend time, as well as a safer, more efficient transportation corridor. The group is made up of representatives of the Victor City Council, Victor city government, Victor Urban Renewal Agency and community volunteers who attended a three-day Community Mobility Institute training in Idaho Falls put on by New Mobility West on ways to revitalize small towns through inexpensive, grassroots efforts and thoughtful planning.

Victor Idaho, January 3, 2017 – The Victor City Council unanimously confirmed the appointment of Josh Wilson as Planning and Zoning Administrator during a special meeting on January 3, 2017.  Mayor Potter commented, “Josh is top-notch.  His well-rounded and extensive experience combined with a personal affinity for Teton Valley makes him a great fit for the job.”

PROJECT NAME – ZX2016-11 Zoning Map Amendment for Teton Valley RV Park

Randy Larsen/TVR, LLC has requested a rezone for the property located at 1208 W Hwy 31 Victor, ID 83455. The property is commonly known as the Teton Valley RV Park. The request is to rezone the 10.3 acre property from RM-2 (Residential Multi-family) to REC (Parks and Recreation).  The rezone is related to a Conditional Use Permit request to expand the types of accommodations and amenities at the current RV Park.

Notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Victor, Idaho, will hold a public hearing for new or increased fees in excess of 5% of the amount of the fee last collected pursuant to provisions of Section 63-1311A of the Idaho Code and illustrated in the below table.  Said hearing is to be held at City Hall, 32 Elm St, Victor, Idaho, at 7:00 P.M., on Wednesday, November 30, 2016.

Open Letter of Support of Jackson & Teton County, WY Housing and Transportation Initiative

On October 12, 2016, the City Councils of Victor, Driggs and Tetonia and Board of Teton County, Idaho Commissioners wrote the Town of Jackson and Teton County Wyoming Board of County Commissioners in joint support of the upcoming Jackson and Teton County, Wyoming ballot measure to dedicate a 1% local option sales tax towards two major issues facing our regional community: affordable housing and transportation.

Winter Parking Ban- November 15 to April 1

IMPORTANT SNOW REMOVAL INFORMATION

With the winter season drawing near, the City’s Public Works staff would like to pass on a few timely reminders that are brought to you ahead of the winter parking ban coming into effect on November 15th.

The City is glad to remove snow from public streets.  In accordance with City policy, the snow will not be removed by the City on any public alleys or private property.  It is unlawful for any person to move snow from their property to a public easement. It is also unlawful to park a motor vehicle or to leave any other obstructions adjacent to or on a public street in such a manner as to interfere with snow removal by the City.
